Product Type Container Candle Wax
Properties Melt Point: 125°F - 130°F
Flash Point: >600°F
Description This 100% soybean wax is a true single pour, and is designed to adhere to the side of the jars.  This is the newest soy container blend from Cargill and produces a much smoother top on candles than previous versions.  The new blend also helps to stabilize color for a nice uniform look.  This wax should be used only for the manufacture of container candles.

bulletHolds average amount of fragrance oil.  Fragrance oil retention of 6% is typical.  Higher amounts are possibly achievable with the use of certain additives.

bulletComes in flake form which makes it easy to measure and dispense.
 

General Guidelines
bulletHeat wax in a double-boiler system to 160°F - 180°F.  Add fragrance and dye, stir thoroughly.
bulletPreheat glass containers to 100°F - 125°F to allow for better side adhesion. (Optional)
bulletLower pouring temperature to between 140°F - 165°F, then pour candles slowly..
bulletAllow to cool as slowly as possible.  Do not place in a water bath or refrigerator to accelerate the cooling process.
bulletDifferent wicks may be needed depending on dye/fragrance combination.  The Premier 700 Series,  RRD& HTP wick lines have been found to work well.
